Below you will find how to properly care for your new DB Labs Absolut ceramic coating from its curing process to regular maintenance washes.

Things to avoid during the 2-3 week curing process

                                                                      

Absolut, once cured, is a durable ceramic layer over your vehicle's finish that is stain and chemical resistant. Most environmental variables such as standing water, pollen or sap will be able to clean off with ease. The curing process varies between 2-3 weeks due to environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity levels. To ensure your Absolut coating cures properly during this period, avoid the following:

• Avoid contact with water. Minerals from water sprinklers or rain can cause water spots on a freshly applied coating. These should be avoided at all costs until the coating has cured completely over the 2-3 week period.
• DO NOT WASH the vehicle within the first 14 days.
• Avoid parking under trees to avoid tree sap from landing on the vehicle.
• Avoid bugs, pollen and bird droppings from splattering on freshly coated paint. If these do occur, remove immediately with a damp microfiber towel followed by a dry microfiber towel. The coating is at its most vulnerable state during the curing process and etching/spotting may occur.
• If you experience any of the above, contact your certified Absolut technician immediately for guidance.

                                                                      

PROPER HANDWASHING METHOD

Ceramic coatings are a novelty in paint protection. Although they are durable and make washing easy, they still require proper upkeep to ensure the coating is not scratched or worn down. We recommend washing a ceramic coated vehicle every 1-2 weeks to keep environmental contaminants off the surface. Hand-washing is the preferred method to keep ceramic coatings performing at their optimal level. This can be done by yourself with the proper tools and technique, or we recommend getting on a regular wash schedule with your Absolut Installer.

Recommended tools for the job

• 2 Wash Mitts, 1 will be used for wheels, the other for washing the paint

• (3) 5-gallon buckets with grit guards in each. Bucket 1 will be for wheel cleaning, bucket 2 will be used to wash, bucket 3 will be used to rinse the wash mitt before dunking back into bucket 2
• Hose or 1500-2000psi pressure washer
• Microfiber towels for drying or a high flow air blower

1. Fill (3) 5 gallon bucket with fresh-filtered water. Squirt 2-3 oz of pH neutral car soap into one bucket. DO NOT use any shampoos with a pH under 5.0 or above 9.0.
2. Spray and clean wheels and tires with wheel-safe cleaners using a hose or pressure washer, clean wheels using designated wheel mitt
3. Rinse wheels thoroughly with hose or pressure washer
4. Continue rinsing the entire vehicle to knock off loose dirt and debris from the vehicle
5. Take designated wash mitt for the exterior and dip into your soapy water bucket. (If using a foam cannon, foam the entire vehicle for added lubrication and to begin emulsifying the dirt). Wash the vehicle from top to bottom, front to back in overlapping linear motions. Once one panel is washed, flip and use other side of mitt to wash another panel. Once both sides are used, dip the mitt into the fresh water bucket to rinse out the mitt. Repeat this process for the entire vehicle.
6. Rinse vehicle of all soap
7. Dry vehicle using microfiber towels (be sure to remove any tags from towels) or blower (recommended). Be sure to have designated towels for wheels and door jambs, as well as separate towels for glass and paint.
8. Do not use abrasive towels or microfiber towels to wipe debris on a dry or dirty surface. Always use a coating-safe Si02 spray. Isopropyl Alcohol 70% diluted 10:1 in distilled water is also acceptable and will not damage the coating.

TOUCHLESS WASHING METHOD

We understand that not everyone is comfortable or has the time to hand wash their ceramic coated vehicle themselves. A self-serving touchless wash can be used, however we recommend hand washing at a self-serving touchless car wash for optimal results. DO NOT use the foaming brush as this can scratch the coated surface and void any ceramic coating warranty. If this still is not a possibility, we strongly recommend a large microfiber drying towel to ensure the vehicle is dry before leaving the stall. This will minimize the chance of water spots staining the coating.

AUTOMATIC TOUCHLESS WASHING METHOD

This method of washing is also acceptable to ensure your coating is kept clean. After the pre-rinse, be sure to select touchless soap only and NO brushes. Automatic car washes that use brushes can scratch the coated surface and will void any ceramic coating warranty.

SPOT REMOVAL

Occasionally you may have a random pollen, bird dropping or bug spot on your paint. These should be removed as soon as they are spotted to ensure the coating does not stain. This can be done by using a microfiber towel and a coating-safe Si02 spray or Isopropyl Alcohol 70% diluted 10:1 in distilled water. Spray the affected area with a light mist and begin to dab or lightly wipe the area until the debris is removed. Do not wipe aggressively or with excessive pressure to avoid scratching the surface. If stains remain, give the coating 48-72 hours to breathe and break down the stain. Avoid using abrasive towels, compounds or polishes to remove stains as this can mar the finish.

                                                                              

 

 WARRANTY

                                                                      

1.1 - General Terms and Conditions 
The following general terms and conditions apply to any and all of DB Labs USA Warranty Products. 

• Warranty Term begins from the date of registration which must be within 30 days of application. The application of any DB Labs USA products must be applied by an authorized DB Labs USA installer to be covered under warranty.
• Any applications, reapplication, repair or other work performed to a ceramic coated surface must be done by an authorized DB Labs USA installer once the claim is approved by DB Labs USA.
• An authorized DB Labs USA installer must be informed within 30 days for any claim due to the failure of product performance.
• Vehicles used for commercial purposes at any time previously, presently or during the course of the warranty are excluded.

• Vehicles older than 3 months require a machine polish prior to DB Labs USA Absolut application
• Vehicle must be maintained and hand washed biweekly.
• An annual inspection must be performed by an authorized DB Labs USA installer to maintain any warranty lasting longer than 2 years. Failure to undertake an annual inspection within the required period will change the warranty period to 1 year from the last service date.
• Warranty is transferable as long as the new owner updates warranty within 30 days of purchase, proof of purchase. 

1.2 - General Liability Limitations 
DB Labs USA or any of its authorized installers will not accept liability for: 

• Any deterioration of factory installed equipment, third-party installed equipment, workmanship done by dealerships, or professional detailers not authorized by DB Labs USA.
• Any pre-existing damage or deterioration of the vehicle.
• Workmanship errors and faulty workmanship such, but not limited to, high spots, streaks, and low spots are not covered.
• Any untreated area due to accident damage or subsequent repairs.
• Damage caused by a manual or automatic wash brush, contaminated and/or abrasive cloths and sponges, or damage caused by impact with a foreign object.
• "Swirl marks" or "spider web scratches", marring, scratches, scuffs, scrapes, chips to the painted surface, hard water spots.
• Any claim which are covered by vehicle manufacturers' warranty.
• Warranty is valid for factory clear-coated systems only and excludes any non-clear-coated or matte finishes. 

1.3 - General Warranty Invalidation 
DB Labs USA warranty for any product will be considered void if any of the following occur: 

• Owners failure to use due and reasonable care to maintain the vehicle consistent with standards established by DB Labs USA as provided to the owner at time of service.
• Areas of the country use road salts and chemical compounds during the winter months that can cause adverse effects on your vehicle and wheels, it is recommended to clean more frequently during this season. Failure to do so may greatly reduce the life of the product.
• Pre-existing damage on the vehicle that is noted before the coating.
• Damage caused in a collision with another vehicle or vehicles.
• Damage resulting from manufacturing defects or recalls of automotive manufacturer.
• Damage caused abrasive compounds and polishes and third party products
• Damage either intentional, malicious, accidental, or due to natural causes including but not limited to fire, hail, flood, stones and extreme weather conditions.
• Damage done to vehicle from rust on the underside of the coated surface.
• Damage caused due to alteration or modification to the coated vehicle surfaces.
• Failure to adhere to any requirements listed under the terms and conditions of this warranty

2.0 - Warranty Coverage 

DB Labs USA warrants the ceramic coating applied to the owner of the elected vehicle will protect the paint against fading, oxidation, and loss of gloss. The Absolut coating will protect the factory paintwork from damage or etching from water spots, bird droppings (when removed in a timely fashion), bug splatter, tree sap, salt water, acid rain, and UV damage/ oxidation. 
Should this damage occur and providing all terms and conditions have been met; DB Labs USA or its agents will at no cost to the owner, repair and retreat the affected area or otherwise rectify the damage under the "Limit of Liability."

 
2.1 - DB Labs USA Absolut Ceramic Coating Warranty

• Absolut 5 Year warranty on vehicles with OEM paint

 

3.0 - Warranty Limits 

• Claim determination is at the sole discretion of DB Labs USA, either approving the repair or re-treatment by an approved DB Labs USA installer or refunding the application cost to the vehicle owner at a maximum of $800 and terminating the warranty, whichever is less.
• Maximum of 3 claims per vehicle covered under warranty. In the event that 3 claims were filed, the warranty will be voided. 

3.1 - Vehicle Accident Damage

• Contact your automotive insurance provider to ensure that any DB Labs USA products and services are included in your insurance coverage. If the vehicle sustains damage and reapplication is required, contact DB Labs USA or your local agent to arrange any additional treatments at cost.

3.2 - Making a Claim 

• To file a claim please contact your DB Labs USA installer. They will be able to file a claim through our installer portal.
